  • I always loved Sean Connery. Although his character is more “raw” and not as naturally sophisticated or classy as Roger Moore, he’s charismatic and it’s easy to imagine he’d indeed be very popular with any lady he would take the effort to charm, which is after all the trademark of James Bond. He can be either soft and caring as he can be very cold. He’s also a believable character in terms of rational intelligence and strength. Even his quirks and mischiefs, it was somehow believable that he would put his life on the line on one second, and then next thing just ignore his orders and go on a completely different direction, enjoying his sweet time.

In comparison, Roger Moore was always more posed, more British and I suppose cooler. He was also very popular, if not more popular than Connery but, to me, he wasn’t as charming and lacked the small glimpses of humanity (for better or worse) that we sometimes saw with Connery. Things seemed a bit more scripted.
Sadly to me, many of the plots of his movies were probably more interesting than Connery’s, haha.

  • the thing with your choice of the best bond, is that it's usually the one you grew up with. So whichever actor played bond in the first bond film you saw or played him most prominently when you were a kid.

Personally for me it was pierce brosnan in Goldeneye. But my personal favourite is probably casino royale with Daniel Craig. Great film but I hate Daniel Craig as James Bond, he cuts about looking like a fish.

    • True words, first Bond movie I watched was with Roger Moore and later on I mainly identified Bond with Pierce Brosnan interpretation of the character. So there's that.
About Craig, I am not sure about the fish part but I just don't see him as James Bond, simply like that. Maybe he is more cut for some lover ranking mafia guy, a street soldier or whatever, or some other characters. He would be one of my last choices to play James Bond, of all the contemporary actors.
So just yesterday they confirmed that Craig will probably play 007 one more time and the next one it could be Idris Elba or another actor of African descent

  • I chose Roger Moore over Sean Connery because I think he pulls of the suave sophisticate slightly better. I don't rate the newer ones as being anywhere near the same level.

  • Thanks for asking me to share an opinion. However, never seen one Bond movie. I’m more into live music if I’m going out for entertainment. If I’m at home, I’d rather cuddle, fuck or sleep than watch tv. Hope this helps. :)

  • Connery. While I don't really like James Bond movies, Sean Connery was the original and definitive 007, the one that all the others are measured against.

If we eliminate Sean Connery, then I'd probably say Pierce Brosnan. His Bond seems the most well-rounded; he could play on the masculinity like Sean Connery, the cheeky wit like Roger Moore, and the grit like Timothy Dalton.

  • But... David Niven was a one off bond VILLIAN. George Lazenby was the one off bond 🤦‍♀️.

Also blonde (yes, spelt with an e) bond is Daniel Craig.

    • David Niven played Bond in the 1967. bond movie Casino Royale. You mean VILLAIN with an A lol, he wasn't a villain in that movie, he played Bond. Yes, I meant Craig when I said blond bond, maybe I phrased it incorrectly

    • the name's Craig, Daniel Craig

    • ;) ;) ;P

  • They all brought their own style to the role, so there is some value to each one, but I think Sean Connery is the best.

  • Sean Connery was the original "image" of James Bond. Plus, Sean Connery set the standard for all others to follow, until Blond Bond killed it! Second up would be Pierce Brosnan but it is a shame he had so few movies as James Bond, he really nailed it. Oh yeah, if anyone wants a preview of the United States "Space Force", James Bond Moonraker seems to be the inspiration!

  • Bravo... that was a nice stage performance... love it
its hard to be the Sean Connery days as bond... but I must say, daniel craig is pretty good. I think equal to Sean... just Sean might have had a more polarizing character

I also liked pierce brosnan lolololol

    • When I hear that band play. I get horny
      Is that normal though

    • check out new update video, everything is normal I guess

  • Didn't vote because I couldn't. (LOL)

I practically enjoyed most of the Bond produced except those by Daniel Craig (I found him less Bond than the rest of the Bonds LOL).

But it's too long since I watched them all within a week (I have the full collection). So I can't really pin point my absolute favorite, although Roger and Brosnan is defin8tely among the top choices. 😁

  • Each of the actors brought their own particular take to the character. Moore more sophisticated, Brosnan a little more sassy, etc. I just enjoy the franchise and the whole concept.

    • Thank You, I agree: Great to binge watch all the movies starting from the first one!

  • Idris Elba... His movie hasn't even come out yet and I already know it's going to be the best incarnation xD

    • he might be the next 007 but maybe it will be another actor, it is not 100% confirmed

    • I thought it had been. 0-0 I'd seen a movie poster, but I suppose that may well have been a fan creation... either way he'd make such a good 007

  • Sean Connery is my favorite. But how can you call yourself a Bond fan and not include Daniel Craig? Who cares if he's blond. Daniel Craig plays the Bond from the books, cold and ruthless, and I for one, love the books. Timothy Dalton also played that sort of Bond, but was ahead of his time, so he's really underappreciated. If we take the source material into account, then Daniel Craig and Timothy Dalton have objectively played the character the best.

    • Maybe you are right but I formed a picture of Bond watching Roger Moore playing it when I was a kid and later on Dalton and Brosnan. What you say about the books I guess is true but it was kind of a shock for me when I saw Craig playing Bond, I like the smooth Bond better and I formed a certain vision of Bond and just couldn't swallow the sudden change in character

    • Really, I like all the Bond actors, they've all had decent movies. But since I read the books, I've come to appreciate Dalton's and Craig's portrayal all the more. I highly recommend at least giving Casino Royale and Skyfall a chance, those two are just great movies.

  • It's hard to say I have not seen all of them or at least in a while but lets go with Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton, and Sean Connery. The first two are a bit cheesy but I love good wit and an a British accent.

  • Sean Connery... in his 80's now... but he could STILL pull a 20 something young woman if he so chose. He was in a cracking 60's movie , The Hill , about British Army soldiers under sentence in WW2 set in the Egyptian desert , and the very harsh regime in the military prison.

    • ... however , I did like Roger Moore's tongue in cheek humour style , a very close second !

  • i think daniel craig. i think he mixed the suave with the tough best. i feel like others were good in one area or the other but were not as good in both areas compared to craig

my second choice would be connery. so for the sake of your poll i voted connery

    • But well, the plot of his first Bond movie itself laid the opportunity for him to mix the suave with the tough... although personally I kind of feel like there’s too much muscle mass there, which makes him a modern action movie Bond.

  • Pierce Brosnan was the best bond for me and after him the blonde one. It sucks that Pierce didn't made another bond movie. But anyways I would love to see a movie with Pierce portraying an old James Bond, it would be cool.
