  • There are lots of good ones, but this one is good but little known...

In 1965, there was a UK movie called "Dr. Terror's House of Horrors".
The "stars" in this movie that you might know are Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, and Donald Sutherland.

    The premise is this:
5 men get on board an evening express train from London to Bradley. This is an older train back when trains had compartments - small rooms in which a half-dozen people would sit together. In walks another elder gentlemen with an accent. His name is Dr. Schreck (Peter Cushing), Schreck being German for "terror". With him is a deck of tarot cards - his "House of Horrors". They men ask what they are for and, one by one, he tells their futures with the tarot cards. Most of the movie is in segments telling each of these stories. When that man's story is over, it doesn't end well at all for him. However, Dr. Schreck says, there is an alternative which is the next card. In the case of each man, his alternate card is Death. The card looks very much like this:

And this is how the movie's ending begins...

After the 5th man's (Donald Sutherland) story is told, they say "What about you?"
Dr. Schreck taps on the deck and shows his card to the men: Death.

The fourth man (Christopher Lee) who had a particularly bizarre story gets upset at Dr. Schreck...

    Here is the film.

Watch the ending starting around 1:32:00 mark when the 5th man has killed his wife, a vampire...

  • Great movie. Liked it. And good ending

Ill never forget saw 1 in theaters. The ending had me get up off my seat obstructing the view for people
Behind me going no fucking way omg no way get out of town
Then quietly in shock i sit back down 😂

best ending to any horror movie ever to exist. Arguably its more gore suspense. But it falls under horror i guess

  • Carrie (1976) grabbing that girls arm out of the grave is a classic for me. It was the first horror film I’ve ever seen. Though, I haven’t seen much in the horror genre.

  • Cube, I liked its ending, because it looked like it was going to be a happy one, but then turned dark. Keeps the unknowing viewer guessing. Even more impressive, since the movie is a very low budget one.

  • 1408 was a good one.

'The Mist' and 'Sleepaway Camp' come to mind. There are a lot of good ones, though.
