people get stuck in an era because they stop looking beyond pop... its simply not true that todays music has no talent involved or takes no effort... beyond the likes of mendes and swift there are plenty of acts that are progressive and have integrity.
Having said that, country music of today is far far better than that of the 80s & before. However, I am only talking about male voices. I am not into female singers a lot anyway and singers like Dolly Parton and Miranda Lambert are shit.
Back to the question, generally, you always like and remember the music you hear when you are in school college. Those are your best memories. So the poll will normally be divided by that aspect. I just feel lucky and blessed to have been in my teens and college during the widely accepted golden period of music.
