Guys, do you think girls who play video games seem more attractive?

I think it shows more of an open-mindedness that is the most attractive thing. Then the fact that it’s a common hobby is cool too, but I like girls that don’t give a crap if something is “for men or women only.”

If you like video games, be you and like video games. Also, getting caught up in the media stigma that video games are “harmful and bad for society... and cause violence, or whatever,” that’s stupid... so if a girl is able to see through that, that’s great. The most attractive thing is that a woman thinks for herself and is comfortable being herself, no matter what her interests and hobbies are.

The “labels” and stigmas are big things that hold us back from enjoying life, in my opinion... like who cares what people think? I believe when you stop caring, that’s when people really come into their own as individuals, and the right people will respond favorably to that.

Girls find video games "okay" now, since it's become a multi billion dollar industry. It's not really a quirk or unique; it's almost no more attractive than her having a taste for pumpkin spice coffee in the fall. It's just another thing to have in common for a cheap date idea.

It’s good to have something in common that you can do together. It’s also good when they understand the entertainment value of video games so they don’t nag you and think you are ignoring them for a video game. Girls that are laid back and can chill out, play video games with you, while you talk about this and that have a prime opportunity to spend quality time with men that are into that and it will help in bonding. It not something that makes someone hot. It’s more so personality congruency. You can enjoy time with each other more easily.

More attractive? Not really.
But since I'm a video game artist, a person who can appreciate my work would always be a plus for me.
And, of course, if they are interested in playing a game with me online, that counts as another activity we can do together, so that's also a plus.

But it's not a requirement for me by any means, if I had to choose between two largely identical women, a gamer and someone who doesn't care about games, I'd still look for different qualities to decide.

Not more or less. I enjoy computer games today. I was obsess with old Atari, Nintendo and Intellivision games of my elder generation as a child. So who am I to complain? I'm getting old and still feel the old joy of playing games. It's in my blood, so I understand. I'm not an old fart to complain.

It depends a bit on the games, but if she has played some interesting games, I see it as being cultured.

It's having an appreciation for an art form. Someone who enjoys literature or movies or music is also more attractive than someone who has never messed around with the genres.

For god sake, why does it matter? I mean gaming is different and being attractive is different. Most girls who play video game, dont do i because guys like it. Those are only instagram attention seekers. Some girls start playing after they get boyfriends, so that they can spend more time with their boyfriends. There is no remote connection between attractiveness and the fact that a person plays games. It could become one more thing that we have in common, and that way it could be a plus. But otherwise, no.

As a gamer myself, learning that a girl likes video games, even plays them makes her more attractive to me. Maybe it's a common hobby thing (the happy feeling that we'll be able to game together), or a result of some pent-up frustration with the idea most girls I've encountered seem to have; that video games are only a guy thing, or worse, childish.

I mean, sharing an interest is good. Besides, there's been multiple studies released now that shows that girls who play video games have an overall higher sex-drive and tend to orgasm more frequently so... as good boyfriends isn't it kind of our duty to introduce a girlfriend to gaming?

Do you do it 24/7 or have a screen in front of you beyond that all the time? Do you find zombies attractive? Thing I hate about the digital age is people being so overly involved, they may have their phone in front of them at dinner, or walking across the parking lot at the grocery store and get ran over... they are so overly involved they don't pay attention to the reality around them-zombies. So I guess my answer would be it depends on how much time you let that occupy and consume you... As I enjoy it in moderation and am fully aware of that... I can put the phone, screen, controller down and or not have it at all without a care for it.

Well it's a plus, you see you need to possess a certain kind of cultural understanding to appreciate videogames and any girl that does raises in my eyes. But as far as "attractive" well it's irrelevant, I mean if she looks like Pokimane (second picture) then yes I would definitely be head over heels for her.

I mean honestly if she is an attractive girl with a nice personality... the fact that she has something in common with me like that is extremely appealing. Also these are rare specimen (not trying to degrade women I don't mean it that way), which makes it more exotic to date such a girl.

I wouldn't say more attractive, but it is nice to have someone to game with. More so if we play the same game, but just knowing she likes to game is awesome in itself.

Not really. Your hobbies and such make you you. Guys who want gamers should look where gamers be not the opposite. I do think it’s a bonus same with anime but that just cause more in common. It doesn’t make me waiver rather I like you more or less

Honestly, no, not unless they are actually good. Like I've seen one girl streamer who could actually play smash bros melee at a level that's easily platinum or gold at the very, very least, and that is impressive. I love her!
