Does netflix and amazon prime prevent you from illegal streaming?

i am completely willing to pay a digital video library to see any movie i wanna see at whatever time i wanna see it.

i find my self actually using pirated movie streaming sites almost more than the streaming services that i pay for, cause they just don't have anything i wanna see.

how is it for you? are you satisfied with the streaming service that you pay? or do you still use illegal streaming?

well I am thinking about it because it is a mess that dont know how to choose. I am thinking that I dont care to pay it but let me choose how to watch. So I pay it but I use other way. I buy 200M bandwidth for sharing netflex through google driver but now police caught the board. Now I am thinking about TV systems. 1. you pay once they give you all channels that they have but you can not choose. 2. you pay once they give you limited, you can pick some channels of all they have.3. pick movie one by one..
... etc. All can be interlap.

  ugh that reminds me of the worst shit of all this... i consume movies on my 4k monitor. i was an early adopter of 4k... they released a new hdcp standard (high-bandwith content protection) that my monitor doesn't have... so i can't even use the 4k content i'm paying for.

Well me I never even bothered subscribing to Netflix or whatnot. I use free streaming services now I realize they are pirated videos but at the end of the day the website owner takes all the risk in case someone comes calling I doubt I'll serve a life sentence for watching something that someone else provided for free

  i don't know about your countries legislation but in germany, streaming is 100% illegal. politicians say that's why they are trying to force legislation to have isp servers store user trafic information, such that people who stream can be identified and sued. obviously that same measure would also enable a totalitarian surveillance state which is why people still fight back. but they're just reformulating the law over and over. it's just a matter of time, till it slips through.
  
  it is quite comical how hard governments try to push legislations that give them more power while claiming all the "good causes" in the world :D

  Yeah well a good VPN could go a long way masking your online presence. In my country it's theoretically illegal but no one does anything about it. I litterally download full PC games from pirated websites although slow internet makes it something I can't always do

  i heard an it expert say, that you're actually more under the radar if you're not using VPN or proxy services. because most people don't use vpn and guess what: if the FBI knocks on your vpn server owners door, he will give them your data in no time, cause they don't wanna go to jail for something you have done xD that happened before many times.

  Yeah well I don't use one actually. My streets aren't even coded and numbered here so if they do locate my device I would have to have done something worthy of a swat team raid with helicopters for them to even bother. I don't think they'll lose sleep over a few songs. Movies. Or a couple of games

Sort of. I do pay for netflix, but they didn't have all the shows I wanted to watch, so I also got Hulu, HBO, and Disney+. Now that was really expensive, so I dropped Hulu and HBO and went back to pirating on top of Netflix and Disney+ so I can watch all the shows and movies instead of just a few.

  Yeah it's so dumb. If you went to a video library that didn't have the movie you want, you just didn't pay them. Now you pay without getting what you want.

I have netflix, prime video, crunchyroll, disney and some others. I find myself pirating stuff a lot less than i used to before. If i wanna watch something and they don't have it I generally just don't bother these days.
Its not like I'm bothered about the moral or legal side of it, there's just nothing i wanna watch badly enough to go out of my way for it.

  It's just a convenience thing for me. They don't cost much and this way I have them if i ever need them.
  It'd be better if it was just one subscription and they had everything i want but nobody is offering that service.
  
  It's not much different from paying for cable and they bundle in a bunch of channels you'll never watch to jack the price up.

  yeah i get it. for me, watching something is a conscious decision. i don't like wasting my time. so if i decided i want to watch something, i will either watch that or do something else with my time.

  oh yeah. i never bother using such sites with my phone. they are litterally unusable, cause you're spammed with adds so much that you can't even use the sites.

  yes. that's the issue. they should compete about quality of service. not about exclusivity. cause that's just nothing else but monopoly.
