Agreed about The Beatles

You have to be ignorant if you think MJ had no impact. He popularised music videos and created his own unique sounds and dancing. He is imitated to this day and influenced all pop artists after him. There is a reason he was the king of pop for gods sake
Erm no people in third world countries know MJ but no Beatles
Infamous people tend to be more know then famous people so that checks out. More people know the name of Hitler than they do of Anne frank.
Bad people are remember more. But good people have had more impact on millions of people to fallow there foot steps. Many people have took Beatles as inspiration for there music, barley none have for Mj
What? You are crazy.Tons of people cite MJ as influence. He created MTV and broke through race barriers. He had no rival during his prime. You don't seem to know much about MJ
Broke through race barriers the guy who... Did surgery to change his own look of his own race. Rival? Who cares about rivals? Did Mj do what Beatles did for Roiling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Cream, The Who? And many many other bands nope. Also the guy who broke "racial barriers" touched kids, and dangled his own son out of window and was very much an abusive parent.
Erm he influences most of the pop artists you see. He popularised music videos, that's impact alone. You seem to be deluded by your hatred towards Michael. He didn't harm anyone
He didn't harm anyone umm you need to look up everything he did, Look up him dangling his own son out of a window. Look up how he had sleep overs with 10 year old kids look up how even his own sister told people he was a creep. And actually no he had very little to none impact on any pop artist i have seen no have ever copied his style or what he did or took influence from him. And music videos? Umm all they would of easy been around without him and just as popular. And you will find millions of artists that made music videos that were popular and made them more of a thing, and music videos existed thanks to Jiles Perry Richardson.
Music videos were always gonna become a big thing in the modern era anyway and none one ever thinks while watching a music video oh yes Mj inspired this. But when they listen rolling stones or Led zeppelin, everyone knows Beatles inspired them.
Erm no, you are just biased.
States facts, other person no your just bias. Smh
Doesn't matter if he is tarnished. That wasn't the question
It does i saw some other comments people don't respect this fucker anymoreThey don't care what he accomplished That's gonna affect the polling and results
He is still listeners too a lot. Look at the Spotify. He is still very loved. And this question was who is more famous
MJ didn't harm anyone.
That's very subjective
That’s music. But it’s a generalized opinion.
i'm a guy that mostly listens to rock, metal, blues and all that and i still like michael jackson's music a lot more than the beatles. His music wasn't only one bland beat and silly uninspired melodies like most of today's pop music. You can see funk, rock, disco, alternative influences in his music and the melodies are better in my opinion than the one beatles had and he's BY FAR a better singer than anyone on the beatles. Also everything else is better on the side of mj. The creative long music videos, the dance moves that inspired generations, the characteristic style and all...
@john23232323 the only things I’d give Mj are his voice and the dancing (the latter being irrelevant). Sure, he had overproduced music videos, also irrelevant. As musicians, the Beatles were far better, the versatility they showed and the complexity of their songs is impressive, think of Norwegian Wood vs Yesterday, vs Eleanor Rigby, vs Help, vs A Day in The Life, vs Because vs Rain and the list goes on and on. None of the songs I mentioned have a “bland beat” whatsoever. The number of masterpieces they produced vs MJ is not even comparable. Thriller and Beat It sound exactly the same for example. Whereas with the Beatles their songs were unique. I know it’s subjective but MJ has nothing on the Beatles at all.
how do thriller and beat it sound the same? Literally nothing is even similar there. Also i can't see where are you seeing the "masterpieces" in the beatles music. I just can't see it. It sounds so me like average singers, average instrument players and just boring music with nothing more dramatic and impressive
@john23232323 I don’t think you even know the songs. There’s nothing average about them. There’s a reason why generations after generations of musicians still consider them the best ever. But you know more apparently 🤦♂️
@NYlatefun well if they haven't heard something better then they might think that. No one i've talked to sees them as the best ever and most of them don't even listen to them at all
@john23232323 I’m not talking about your own little bubble, I’m talking about real experts. It’s agreed in general that the Beatles are one of the best bands that ever existed, if not the best one.
@NYlatefun well i'm a musician so i think i should have a say on this. And this is not science. It's not something that can be proven or agreed on.
