What was your go to kids tv program to watch as a kid for cartoons?

Growing up mine was Cartoon Network. Back then cartoon network had some of if not the most iconic cartoons on television, cartoon network was one of the highest rated Television Networks in the early 2000s. I only ask cause talking to kids just a few years younger than me it seems like people don't remember cartoon network as fondly as I do when it came to it's cartoons. Yea Nick and Disney had some good shows but compared to the line up Cartoon Network had in the late 90s to Early 2000s into the mid 2000s I don't know another channel that could match it.

It was a mix but looking back, Spongebob was likely the best show I watched. I've near memorized entire episodes of classics like Grandma's Cookies, Wormy, Graveyard Shift, Rock Bottom, and ofc the pilot, Help Wanted. Spongebob was just so out there/different from anything else and I look back as somebody older and realize it's one of the only kid's shows I could go back to watch and still enjoy. Most shows I liked quite casually but for sure I underrated at the time just how great spongebob was, perhaps cause my family specifically targeted that show as one of the worst, when it was really far better than much of the DIsney crap/ABC dramas like Secret Life my sisters watched.

I didn't grow up with cable tv. This meant no Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon or Disney Channel. Sure my grandma had Disney, but I only went there for 6 weeks a year.

The only options I truly had were either CBBC or CITV if limited to live tv (I was even stuck with a choice of 5 channels in my early years!). Otherwise I would use youtube to watch endless analog cable recordings of Mickey Cartoons and Sonic X.

But my overall preference was definitely Disney at the time.

Curious George, Word Girl, and Cyberchase on Sundays.

And on Saturday Whaddyado was a must-watch after the exercise lady was done. I don't remember which channel those were on though...

But Cartoon Network played Dragon Ball Z, so they could have filled the rest of their schedule with a guy taking a crap for all I cared.

Grew up waaaaay before cable TV. ABC, CBS, NBC, & PBS was the only choices you got. So Saturday morning cartoons with Spiderman, Thundercats, Fantastic Four, Fantastic Voyage, Bugs Bunny & Friends, and others along with H. R. Puffinstuff, The Banana Splits, The Monkees, and others there too.
