Off the top of my head- Hudson Hawk. When the star of your movie says that if he ever got a time machine, the first thing he'd do is go back in time and keep himself from agreeing to be in it, you know you screwed up. Thing is, it's not a bad movie. I think the problem was that it was advertised and hyped as this serious, high-tension heist movie, when in fact it's a live-action cartoon. It's gloriously stupid and wonderfully absurd, and if you know that going in, you'll love it. If not- I can definitely see being annoyed at something if it's mis-sold that badly.

Another option would be Interstate 60, not because it's looked down on, but because most people have never heard of it. Also, the cover makes it look like a raunchy porn film; I have no idea what they were thinking there.
