Curly from those two pictures, but honestly straight hair can be amazing and probably the best if it is done right or has a natural weight to it. I still remember this girl's hair from high school. It was perfectly straight, heavy and clean. I think straight hair is best if it is not thin, but then again I guess that goes for curly hair as well.

Honestly though, your friend being a girl she is going to have her hair all kinds of different ways in her life so it doesn't really matter. She should just pick one and try it, she's going to change it in 6 months anyway, she can try the one she didn't do this time, then.
