Well first of all there are very few good commercials. The best commercials are those that actually give the viewer useful and factual information about a product. As opposed to most car and truck commercials, for example, that show a "professional driver on a closed course" stirring up dust in a western landscape.

No commercial has ever made me buy something specific, or raised my attention/awareness of some product.
Advertising is annoying - there is a reason why (online) we are offered to pay so that we are less molested by it.
Once every three or four years I get to see something that I find witty or funny enough to remember for a week or so. But that still does not make a commercial 'good'.

If The Knight Industry Two Thousand is my dream car,... that can be a dream car.
If there's no way in hell I can afford to purchase KITT & claim KITT as my car which means I would be able to rightfully own it if I had the money for it,... I'm sure there's no way in hell I can afford a car like that.
