Where did u learn it
Taught myself techniques call Speech Level Singing, the technique used by Freddie Mercury, Steven Tyler, which allows singers to maintain natural tone and resonance, without straining the voice, which is why they could sing into older age without damaging their voice, but also have 5-octave+ range. It's hard work, but the general concept is centering the layrnx to get range (try hitting really high notes, notice the layrnx normally shoots up the neck/throat causing stress/strain. Resonance comes from the same muscles that move on the sides of the throat when swallowing - once they no longer tighten when singing, this allows for resonant souund, also eliminating tension and tightness. If you want to look specifically, the inventor of the technique, I believe, was Seth Riggs, but I learned from a course, originally, by a guy called Brett Manning who you can look up on YouTube.
Thanks for the MHO!
