How would you feel if you found out your mom use to do drugs and party a lot?

Question

How would you feel if in her late teens - mid 20's your mother was a heavy drug user, use to party a lot, drank like a sailor, have sexual encounters with a lot of guys (including several one night stands), was on birth controls and didn't use protection, and did heavy drugs such as molly, ecstasy and cocaine.

How would you feel if you found out your mom use to do drugs and party a lot ?

She even had close calls where she almost died from overdose.

Around her late 20's she meets your father and they get married. She no longer does any of the stuff mentioned above. However, knowing all this would you still have the same respect for your mother if she did not do any of this?

Would still have the same respect for her (even if she didn't do all this)

Would lose respect for her

I wouldn't loose any respect for her a mean that's in the past now we are in the present lets continue with life..
I can't judge her by her past no I can't she has done too much things for me to allow myself to do that.. What about which is yet to come?
Probably if I was there telling her she need to put away those things and she weren't listening then I think I would loose her respect.

Nothing will change cause she always been a great mother for me. So why know this would change it? She doesn't do anything wrong for me and this was pass before I even born so I would not really care about it

if my mom did all that and was still able to straighten herself out to be a good wife, mother, and overall human, then there's no reason to lose respect for her

If be happy, because its leverage aginst any grief she might give me. Obviously my parents grew up before everything was stored for eternity on the internet though, so maybe it's because im not worried about finding 'evidence' lol.

And you're also assuming that someone who parties and does drugs is stupid. Don't think I entirely agree with that.

The good for you cause I did some pretty stupid things when I was younger. Most of us have. And that doesn't mean drugs and partying. It could mean jumping on the bed and falling off or touching a hot stovetop or hiding bad grades. You get my idea :)

You should have even more respect for her that she turned her life around and quit all that raised a family. So when she tells you not to do those things she knows from experience how bad it can be.
