close with them enough to talk about my goals and future, not close enough to talk to them about my relationship.
My dad was the best man I've ever known. My mom is the best woman I've ever known.
Yup i am very close with my parentsThey have been so loving caring and supportive throughout my life
Depends on the mood. Mostly not.
Oh thanks for mho <3 :)
Have an opinion?
Not anymore. Too much drama. 💜
Fuck nah. My mom didn't care about me till she saw I was winning. My dad can never admit he's wrong. In my mind either your helping me go faster or your slowing me down. With my mentality, Im not putting up with anh drama
No. My parents threatened to kick me out of the house when they found out I don't plan to be an incubator and have intentions on giving them a grandchild. My mom is very controlling and says mean things with the intention of hurting others, my dad lets her do that.
Breaks my heart but no I’m not which is mostly their choice not mine. Since about 14 I’ve been on my own basically.
I'm sorry to hear that. I hope things get better for you.
I am with my mom (although she's a fucking idiot with literally no common sense). My father is a different story. I can rarely ever come to agreements with him in life. He's a nasty, bitter, alcoholic racist who emotionally abuses women and supports trump, but isn't that a high percentage of Trump supporters?
I’m very close with my mum, but I don’t speak to my dad.
My relationship with my folks used to be rocky, but it’s much better now.
Mine have both died but we was kinda close when they were alive. And I am close with my own children.
I am with my mum. Used to be with my dad, I can't be anymore since he's in the ground.
I haven't seem my mum since I was about 14 and it's similar with my dad.
I’ve seen them but haven’t lived with them since the same age.
Seems like you maybe left you escape abuse but I had the opposite I was forced out. I’m a rare case.
@Year3000 I was kicked out, it wasn't my choice, my mum also told me never to speak to her again.
It was more like stay away from me I’ll give you money and shit if you just stay away from us and not contact me or the family
Unless it’s a rare time they give me money or something
Why did you get kicked out?
@Year3000 My mum was very abusive and controlling when I was growing up and she found out that I had been out drinking with my boyfriend and I think used it as an excuse.
Mine weren’t abuse rich southern Americans who kicked me out for when they found out I was bisexual. Tried to lie but they said I was too nutty for there rep. Lived across the country and saw a lot of crazy shit. Glad to be alive, hiv negative, not stuck paying child support, and haven’t overdosed before.
Drinking? So what?
@Year3000 Yeah I don't really think it was the reason, she'd stopped getting benefits for me any more and I think she wanted an excuse so my family wouldn't hate her.
Yeah fucked aspect about US culture we don’t get benefits just for existing you shouldn’t have to have a baby to get a house or money from the government. In Scandinavian countries you get those for just existing.
@Year3000 I'm from the UK not the US and I don't actually agree with much welfare, never mind what my mum was getting she was lying about our income so that she'd get benefits for me when they found out they were cut off.
That’s sad. I still love my family and miss them dearly everyday, even if they hate me.
@Year3000 I miss my sister as I can't see her any more, the rest of my family talk to me occasionally and I'm quite close with my little cousins. I don't hate my mum but I don't miss her.
It’s weird you can’t see them if your parents only kicked you out because money. It’s just strange no religious reasons, and you were a good girl and in Europe people don’t care about reputation anyway if someone was lgbt or disabled.
@Year3000 Well that isn't true and it's a lot more complex than that.
What isn’t true? I don’t really believe your story from seeing the worst porverty London has to offer. I know the culture of chars, meds, teen preg, drinking and family estrangement of the UK too. Your story is kinda phony. Even when I was kicked out I wasn’t really kicked out my parents just sent me to Christian schools or camps in the summer far away to “wash away the gay” in my bisexuality. When I was 18 they just paid for me to live in Florida so I don’t have to ruin their religious reputation in the community.
Chavs, and neds**
@Year3000 Think what you want dude but you don't know shit about life here or what people have went though my story isn't even that rare.
Just doesn’t make sense to me you did nothing to make them mad and don’t say drinking I mean mayor being lgbt in the US South is the same as being LGBT in the Middle East. I just don’t see a big enough reason to totally push you away unless maybe she was a drug addict because even mentally ill people don’t do that to their 14 year olds. Maybe if you provided a good enough reason but your lying.
And no they can’t me some complex reason if you were alive for only 14 years
@Year3000 Like I said think what you want but you don't know shit about what life is like here or what I've been through or what tons of other people here have been through, just because you had an alright life even when your mum didn't want you around doesn't mean everyone has such luxury.
Your supposedly from Europe, hardship doesn’t exist in fucking England I’ve been there all over from the South, Midlands, to the North it’s so privileged even the “depressing towns“ Blackpool, Cornwall, Oldham are privileged af. You happen to be talking to a rare break of an culturally experienced American by the way.
@Year3000 First of all are you really so ignorant you don't know that there is more to the UK than england? Are you also so ignorant that you don't understand that hardship exists in bucket loads in the UK? Are you really so self righteous you believe because you've visited some English cities you understand a thing about life here? And finally are you really so entitled that you feel like you deserve to know the ins and outs of my life? God you're pathetic.
Yeah, I see little kids begging for money here, people eating out of the trash, shitting in public, the whole 9 yards.
@Year3000 You think shit like that doesn't happen here? You think you know anything about how some people here live? You didn't answer a single question I gave you and we both damn well know the reason for that. Now either fuck off or behave, I've got no time for people like you.
I don’t think stuff like that happens in England I really don’t, not like in the US, India, or Latin America, Maybe in other regions in the UK I can’t say because I haven’t been. Scotland and Wales are foreign to me but England is like the country I’m most familiar with outside the USA.
@Year3000 Well one I'm from Scotland and don't worry you've made it perfectly clear that you're beyond ignorant to anything that happens here. Two I know crap like that happens in england again you think just because you've been to a few cities you understand life there?
Watch the movie Slumdog millonare, is about India but it’s very similar to the porverty we see here.
I’m a lucky one being rich here and not the extreme yes people beg but nothing like you would see here people traffic kids and shit to beg it’s not even for them most of the time.
@Year3000 You don't know shit which you've made very obvious, either fuck off or actually open your mind to the fact that the us isn't one it's own, you've never seen the homeless kids here, the families with no where to go, the children being sold and groomed, the kids as young as 11 or 12 doing drug runs for money, the disabled on the streets as here it's a crime to sleep rough so they have hide most of the time, the people living in abandoned buildings that don't even keep them dry, the levels of violence, the children being forced into sex work by their relatives, and so much more that you don't know shit about. If you're going to talk about what life in a country is like for the worst off please actually know what that means.
USA has a higher rate of human trafficking than anywhere in Western Europe look dat up. Is sexual assualt and shit an issue there? I noticed a cultural similarity is being uneducated and embarrassed by sexuality and the human body it causes issues with teenage pregnancy and sexual boundaries.
@Year3000 I never claimed that one issue wasn't worse in the US but that has a lot to do with population. Education in this country is far better than the US but it doesn't change anything for the lowest in society who are taken advantage of and forced into shit. Honestly one more ignorant as fuck reply and I'm just going to stop talking to you, this is why I don't tend to talk to americans.
Name one thing America does better or that you even like about this culture that you would want in the UK?
@Year3000 Loads of things, america has freedom, america is much better at conducting justice, america will allow literally anyone to succeed if they work hard enough and don't make stupid decisions, america carries out democracy much better, america allows their people the right to defend themselves (not talking about guns), america have some of the best healthcare specialists worldwide, america has good public spaces, america actually values being American, a few more minor things but hey I know you're just gonna cherry pick a few you disagree with and try prove a point anyway. I hope to move to america one day so my daughter has a better chance in life.
Sweden is also a good place like America freedom wise. If you do move to America ever San Francisco, LA, and New York are the only normal places. Yeah you have freedom but people are sheep and traumatized by seeing people shot and raped on the street here so they don’t leave the house.
Read you said daughter, not a safe place for women here unless you have money not being ignorant I’m serious.
@Year3000 You really think the rape capital of Europe has freedom? God you don't even know your own country or any other, I'm done you're too ignorant for this.
I barely tolerate their existence, as they still have some usefulness to me.
No not really my mother is always working and my father wasn’t around. My Step fathers are assholes.
No unfortunately. Still, I wish things were different.
Well this is the worst part for me, I have a distant and toxic relationship with my mom.. we stopped being close when I got engaged at 17 and married the following year. Today I’m 33, we still a non existent relationship. Plus she moved away since 9 years ago in Asia. We rarely speak on the phone or keep contact.. she’s the one who always wants to talk to me but it’s like once or twice per 3-4 years.. but really it’s to ask me to send her some money.. LOL.. I’m tired of this relationship.. so toxic!!!
im not close with them that much
Depends on what day it is.
Please write more on that sounds funny
Yes with my mom!
Only my mom <3
Fuck no I hate my mom
Just my mom.
Nope.Could have been better.
Yes I can
I wasn’t close to my parents during teenage years because of my siblings and the arguments they’d cause... but now as I’m growing up I’m getting closer with both of them and they seem to understand me more
