Another thing is that both of us are extremely good at avoiding negative thoughts and emotions in these contexts. My wife is into Buddhism and has that whole "inner peace" thing down pat in most situations, and especially these. I'm into Stoicism and while I can still get quite angry at strangers, I can easily resist angry thoughts and feelings towards ones I care about now. She's better at avoiding becoming upset or angry than I am overall, but we're both masters of this when it comes to conflicts we have with each other.

Instead of actually fighting I'd say discussing things through and trying to find common ground is much healthier
constant yelling and such maybe over teh top and it might put a strain on teh relationship.
