With my Bachelor's I'm expected to start at $70,000 a year. I'm going for Masters where it moves to $90,000 a year. After about 4 years I should be doing $110,000 - $120,000 a year. I expect to have a lot of children. I read the average for family of four was $50,000, that's about $10,000 per child. If I have around 6 children at the same rate, $90,000 would match. If wife pulls $30,000 a year working (Friday - Sunday) then $96,000 after taxes. Likely would expect $6,000 in returns, so living off $90,000. Ideally it'd be best if she didn't have to work outside the home. If after four years I get to the $115,000 she wouldn't have to. Do you think this would be sufficient?
