Being a parent is supposed to be about your child, not about your child. She might have liked to be named X Æ A-Xii but most people would hate to have that name so she should've been considerate. If Musk and Grimes want to be outrageous and make spectacles of themselves, that's their choice, but they shouldn't force it on their child. If they would've done it even if they weren't famous then that's even worse. Since they're famous and rich there's a chance that the kid might not be bullied. But kids are cruel and a child named X Æ A-Xii would be a prime target for bullying.
Being aren't is supposed to be about your child, not about yourself*
Even if the kid will never set foot in an actual school, it's not as if there aren't other situations where others would laugh at him or make fun of him for his shitty name.
Yep. It makes me question how much of a genius Elon Musk really is. He did it just because he would look clever and it would be silly and cool like you said. It also reminds me that "good at math and stuff" doesn't = intelligence. I often forget that. Though it could be argued that there are different types of intelligence so I don't know.
The poor kid won't even be able to type his name on a normal keyboard
Most touch keyboards have Æ/æ when you long press A, but I believe he spelled it as Ash, so he could write it as X Ash Xii or just have Æ in their clipboard all the time lol. Sounds cool. To me at least.
The full name is "X Æ A-Xii"
Hm. I don't understand that, then.
It's pronounced x (like the letter) ash a (the letter a) 12, the kid can probably go by x or ash pretty easily
@Bruhbois that sounds like a robot's name. Poor kid might end up bullied
@mistixs The kid is going to be rich, living in some of the nicest houses in the US, have access to some of the most exciting cars and technologies, and probably have a decent intellect, I really doubt he's gonna be bullied at all, and tbh with you if there had been a kid with that kind of name in my highschool he probably would've been just fine. (Sorry if this reply came across hostile, it wasn't meant to be)
People can make cruel choices
Yeah everyone does at some point in life
That may be true but not having a name thats considered traditional you are likely to get bullied a lot thats just the reality we live in
That says more about our reality that we made then the names themselves, aren't we supposed to be more open and accepting this century?
Ideally yes but these are kids and teenagers we are talking about
True and you are absolutely right, kids can be incredibly mean. Though a man can dream, no? There is this quote "heaven is a paradise, but would it amazing if earth was one to?"Not saying it will happen, but it we don't even think it can happen, then it'll never happen
They shouldn't force their child into it though
@mistixs I know.
You know you can change it right?
Of course. But that too is a pain in the a**
Maybe legally, but you dont really need to do that, you could, but people can still call you by your preferred name.
