I've known people do bad things, but they've changed their behavior for the better. I've never known a bad person change.

Because if someone is raised to be good, follow rules, be courteous, etc, then they are operating by rigidity. And they can suffer tremendously for it in the wrong environment, and it doesn't take a genius to look around and see the roguish and bad boy types having their share of fun. So it's much easier to go from light to dark than dark to light. The temptations are in dark areas. Someone really has to plummet to the abyss to go from dark to light.
