Anyone know how to remove hair dye stains from a bathtub?

I tried nail polish remover but it's not working and there is so much! this has never happened before! my dad is going to be so pissed if he comes home and sees I've stained the tub all blue! help!!

  • Scrub out with powdered cleanser that has bleach in it. Or find another cleaner in your house that has bleach in it. Do not mix bleach with other clears though. If that doesn't work, rinse all the bleach out and try baking soda and peroxide.

    And do not use nail polish remover on any material that bathtubs are regularly made out of. Nail polish remover dissolves hard enamels, plastic and fiberglass.

  • Acetone - basically the purest form of nail polish remover. Has to be 100%. Or bleach/bleach based products. Otherwise it will fade gradually over time.

  • I have 78% rubbing alcohol, and it always does the trick for me. The stuff with a lower percentage works but not as well lol.

  • Have you tried baking soda, Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser, or Oxyclean? I heard those do just the trick. :)
