My makeup always looks bad?

I dont know whats the problem but my makeup never looks good. I can watch a hundred makeup tutorials yet my eyeshadow is always looking unblended and my makeup looks awful in the sunlight.
I take good care of my skin but my skin is always in a bad condition with frequent breakouts and pigmentation, whiteheads and blackheads.
What am I doing wrong and how to correct this?

  • I think makeup is not good for your skin anyway. I'd just focus on getting your skin in good shape and forget about the makeup.

  • Get foundation that's appropriate for your skin type. Use colour correcting concealers for certain areas and buy decent quality brushes. They don't have to be expensive! There's good stuff in drug stores. Realise that YouTube/Instagram makeup gurus have the gift of great lighting and face tune. Their makeup won't look that good in real life either.

  • Then you either have the wrong brand, wrong shades for your skin tone or you just aren't good at putting it on. Go to Ulta. They'll help you find the exact color for you in everything from foundation and concealer to eyeshadow and in the brand you want. They'll also show you how to put it on and what brushes you need. Sephora will do the same thing.

  • Using natural based products and nothing mineralized helps. Also vitamin c and e is great for pigmentation etc. I have the same problems. But never pick at your skin until they come out as it can spread. Cleaning your brushes help. Having the right lighting is a must and the right amount of product

  • First of all, make up won't do much if you already have skin problem. It will just make your face look cakey due to the discoloration. You need to see a skin specialist where they will treat your skin by giving a set of gel and tablets to control your imbalance hormone.

  • i think you are using incorrect products for your skin, not washing thourougly enough ( most people have leftover makeup on even after cleaning and using a makeup remover. i have to get 2 pumps and wash my face 2 times to remove all makeup), you aren't using quality brushes, you just started out with makeup, you aren't blending as much as you think.

    • acne is nothing to do with washing

    • i am so diligent with my skin care routine and my skin is very clear

    • so am I but I had acne for 10 years

at no point did I stop washing my face

I no longer have acne because of strong medication I had to take not because I changed my skincare routine

  • Make sure you wash off your make up before going to bed and use cold water not hot because hot water will close your pores and dry out your skin. Also try a facial moisturizer at night. It could also be the brand of make up your using. Hope this helps :-)

  • Go to the make up counter at your local dept store, LancĂ´me reps are usually pretty knowledgeable. Or an Ulta store if you have them.

  • Try and get ur foundation matched corecctly because this will mkae a huge difference. if the base ur make up looks flawless then everything else will begin to look good even if it isn't the best.

in regards to the eyeshadow start off with neutral shades and simple looks such as a light brown shade in the crease, and blend this out almost as if it is not even there. then deepen it up with a darker shade of brown. then on ur actual likd place some shimmer eyeshadow. such an easy look and always looks like u have taken a lot of time to do it.

i cleared my skin up my drinking lots of water and going to the sauna every wekened.
