It’s pronounced ‘Beth-An’
I know how to pronounce it but not sure exactly how to explain it via text.
It’s not hard to explain. It’s just like pronouncing the name Beth just with An on the end lol
The way I've heard it is that there's a bit of a stress on the "th" in comparison to a woman names Beth.
@AmourHoney its actually pronounced beth-in lol
How? I've heard a Welsh woman pronounce it on an fb video and it wasn't "in" at the end.
In wales its pronounced that way, but anywhere else you pronounce it beth-in :)
It’s not, I’m Welsh and my name is Bethan and every Bethan I know pronounces it ‘BethAN’. It’s definitely not supposed to be pronounced ‘Bethin’ Lol
@AmourHoney uh my name is bethan and you definitely pronounce it Beth-in lol
Are you welsh?
I promise you it’s not ‘Bethin’ lol. That would make zero sense when the name ‘Bethyn’ already exists.
I’ve never in my 22 years had anyone pronounce my name as ‘Bethin’. Not even people from different countries aha
I'm with @AmourHoney on this one. I'm not Welsh but I'm English and I know a fair bit about Wales and Welsh names.
@AmourHoney there’s two ways. Beth-Anne and Beth-in. Anything else is wrong
@AmourHoney how when everyone pronounces my name beth-in...
I’m sorry but Beth-in is incorrect and they’re pronouncing it very wrong
@AmourHoney @nodnol31 guys I’m Latino let me end this argument, it’s pronounced A mi no me importa
@AmourHoney go on google translate type in bethan on the English one and it’ll say Beth-in.
I don’t need google translate to tell me how to pronounce my own name lol. I’m Welsh and the name has always been pronounced that way. Never any other way.
@AmourHoney well said. 100% with you on this mate.
@nodnol32 Thank you 😊
@AmourHoney can you just accept that its not just pronounced that way
Well, everyone else seems to agree. You may personally prefer it that way so call yourself whatever you want. But it doesn’t mean that it’s correct, because it’s not sorry. I’m still calling it Beth-An because that’s the correct pronunciation, always has been.
@AmourHoney, she might as well change it to 'Bethyn'
@nodnol32 Exactly 😂

Ohh really? where are you from?
