Tall or Ankle socks: Which do you prefer?

My wife bought me a ton of black ankle socks, since I like to go barefoot in my boat shoes They are comfortable and being black you can't even tell I'm wearing any. Now if they were freaking white or some BS color like that… Nope would not wear them at all... no freaking way.

Depends on the shoe really and sometimes the temperature. Most of the time though, including right now, I'm an ankle sock guy.

Ankle unless I'm going hiking and need boots on. Then I need my tall socks. Which are called crew (half way up calf) or tube (full calf) by the way.

For me, ankle socks if I'm wearing running shoes. Taller socks for when I wear boots, preferably wool.

For girls, it depends on their footwear and outfit.
