Are anti aging creams a hoax?

I don't think some of these products are what people think they are.

However, I do believe in taking care of one's self to look better/healthier over a longer period of time. My one beauty regime every single night from the start of my teen years was to always remove my makeup before going to sleep, and to remove it gently, not pulling the skin around. I'd use a toner and moisturizer that I happened to like the feel and smell of, and that was it. (I do believe that exfoliators and moisturizers are important, but they have to be products that agree with you.)

I didn't get wrapped up into these gimmicks or spend more money on false hope. As long as I drank lots of water, and kept my skin clean -- that's the real secret of your skin looking healthier. Not the products themselves, just whichever ones I fancied.

As for masks and all that shit.. no. That's not to say I've never tried them, but I found that the simplest things are the ones that work best. Drinking water, and keeping the skin clean. That's it.

A lot of them don’t reverse aging but can prevent it

My friend watched a documentary on this and retinol A is the only thing that creates a real difference in anti aging

I forgot to ask her whether the difference was reversal or prevention

I bought collagen during Black Friday simply because it was 50% off

And I feel like my wrinkles have diminished a lot after taking it

But some days they are more obvious and other days they are weaker

They were also new wrinkles so might be easier to get rid off

You will never be able to fight time with some cream. Eating healthy, maintaining a good sleep cycle and staying fit will be much better for your looks and your health. Ultimately though, you will still age but you will age gracefully rather than bitterly.

For the most part yes. Simple creams which adds moisture to the skin are enough to keep the skin as young as possible. Skin simply does age, and you can't freeze time.

At best, yes. They are a waste. Of money. At worst they will actually damage your skin. They will remove the older, exterior layer of skin to reveal the younger skin underneath. But doing that damages the younger skin underneath by taking away it's protective layers.

Find a night serum that repairs the skin cells. Serum, unlike lotion, will penetrate deeper into your skin (the epidermis). Also, serum before lotion will intensify the moisturizing process.

Yes they work if you use them right along with a good skin care routine. But mostly the best thing for anti aging is sun protection! Everyday!

I'm not a beauty expert but I think that if you tried all the natural remedies for fixing your skin and that doesn't work then you should turn to agent creams they shouldn't be your first go-to.

Probably, but moisturising the skin does help stop wrinkles.
