Why do Indian woman wear traditional clothing but other Asians don't?

Ohhh you mean entire South-Asia wears traditional clothes and I don't see any problem with it, they are practical and far more comfortable than casual jeans.
Arabs also prefer their traditional clothes over anything even in rich cities like Dubai and I don't think anybody ever declared western outfits to be norm entire world must follow, neither are they superior in any way or form, instead traditional clothes are far more fashionable and convenient.
I think anybody that believes wearing western clothes is some sort of way to show-off development is F@king idiot and only difference between us is that, we are educated enough to distinguish cultural invasion and predatory tactics employed by multinational designers to enter new market by suppressing local culture FROM necessary scientific knowledge.

There are Indian women who wear traditional clothes and there are those who wear western clothing like her. As for other Asians, there are, for example, Chinese girls who wear traditional Chinese attire along with those who wear western too.

I’m Asian, I wear traditional clothing sometimes. I’m Pakistani so I wear salwar kameez lol I remember at my Year 11 prom I wore a turquoise salwar kameez and one of my friends who is Indian wore a lovely lengha☺️

It's a good question... I think it matters on how they practice and view their faith. It's like this, jewish people technically should be giving sacrifices up to God but they don't anymore and while it's for good reason it's simply changing and adjusting to culture. And it's a question of which generation do you want to reach too. You want to be able to make an impact and pass your traditions onto the next generation. I think it's also about the culture of where you live too and that has an important part to play as well. But to be fair, we have these guys

I'm amazed by the different cultures clothes they wear, It could be that different ones are getting away from dressing traditional, look at the doctors that came from India and practice medicine in the Pennsylvania USA, they wear American clothing and they got their schooling in the country they were born and came to the USA to do their residency it could be based on their religion too, a lot of cultures changed religion look over Nigeria there is Muslim Nigerians and they change the way they dress

Lot of India is still rural and country side. And we believe in keeping traditions alive. We have modern versions of outfits and traditional versions of outfit. Some city women wears traditional outfits on special ocassions. Which what you get to see lots of time in pictures and videos.

Well it's practical and i believe it's cheap, but also it's apart of these culture and a lot of people wouldn't want to let that go.

Well if you're referring the sari it's worn in more countries than just India. But it's not traditional to all of Asia. There's no real tradition of it in countries like Russia or China. Asia is fkin huge so you'd expect a few different types of traditional dress, depending on where you were.

I think it is because India is still a very traditional culture compared to highly developed Asian countries like Japan and South Korea. The regional areas of India are particularly traditional. These traditional Indian fashions are based on what became popular for those of high status to wear during religious ceremonies.

Pakistani's though, tend to wear traditional dress quite a lot too. Mainly as it's functional for the weather.

I imagine it is because that both in Hindu, Jain and Islamic beliefs women are clothed that way.
However, other beliefs such as Buddhism and Taoism are more free in their beliefs.
That is my guess as someone who knows nothing about it XD

Not every indian woman wears traditional clothing. Some only wear it for events. Just like many other Asian cultures.

My girlfriend's mom is half Nipali she wear saari for temple and Asian function, but in Asian function she wear completely different style of saari, untraditional, very much ultra liberal.

Maybe because western clothing is expensive there? For example an I phone 12s are much more in India than the USA.(I'm not Indian lol I just checked it) Also maybe they're shamed for wearing western clothes
