A kilt is a man’s garment not a woman’s. Women didn’t and don’t wear kilts.
@Exterminatore Actually, women DO wear kilts, many like mine you see in the above picture. As for American culture, perhaps the millions of descendants of the Scots that came across to settle in the United States and Canada would beg to differ with your analysis.
Traditionally in Scotland women did not wear kilts. They wore ankle length skirts and dresses.Maybe things have changed. Tradition with any cultural group originating in Europe doesn’t seem to be valued much in America these days.
