did you get it for you, or for other people? If you got it because you wanted it, or it has some special significant meaning to you, then it really doesn't matter what others think. You can't please everyone all of the time, so I wouldn't worry about it.

You don't get tats for other people, you get them for yourself. Why do you care if no one else likes it, as long as you do? So to answer your question, yeah, it's okay for a tattoo, but I'm not a fan of them so I'm biased.
Generally, I'm not a big fan at all. If they are visible ones, then it becomes a question of where it is and what it is. I think too many people get carried away with them.

That's fair enough I have 6 which isn't really that many compared to some I know someone who has over 80 but it comes down to what is a lot to the person what may be so many to someone may be hardly any to another I mean compared to say a heavily tattooed person I probably have hardly any

I've never really been that girly girl type my real dad use to try and force me to dress like it when I was younger so I rebelled now I have nose ring, tongue done and tattoos and I wear rock style clothes funky leather jackets wacky dr martens I'm very out there deep down I'm quite a shy person but I express myself though my clothes, music and tattoos maybe in some ways I've rebelled against what society wanted me to be
That's true, but I doubt anyone makes a decision to get another one thinking " hey, I only have 6 while some folks have 20, or 40, or 100." I see a lot heavily inked girls with full arm or leg tats, cleavage tats, fingers, neck, anywhere visible. It just doesn't look attractive to me personally, to see a bosom covered in ink. I hope these girls don't regret their choices, later in life. I suspect there will be some "what was I thinking" heard.

I do get you're point everyone has different tastes on what they like and don't some have loved my neck tattoo others didn't but I do love it. I know some girls do it as a confident boost if they are insecure about their bodies I know its a shame when us women grow up not liking our bodies but I guess it happens. Personally I don't think I'd want finger tattoos as they are extremely hard to pull off. Who knows only they will either they won't regret them or will I don't think I'd regret mine and if I did would only be the small ones which is actually cheaper to remove people say about getting old and that but tbh sounds gloomy but with my copd I may not make it to 70 or what not
Obviously you don't "think" you'll ever regret them, so that doesn't enter into your thought process. Or maybe some folks DO think " I'm probably going to regret this, but I'm doing it anyway". I don't know. I also don't understand how getting a tattoo could make you feel "less insecure" ? IF you don't like your body BEFORE you get a tat, why are you suddenly going to like it just because there's ink on it? That makes no sense to me at all. You can't fix an insecurity by painting it.

Who knows in 10 years time if I will or not but I doubt I will a lot of my tattoos have meaning to them. Some get tattoos on a whim and others actually think about it before they get it done. I guess to some its cheaper then surgery I don't know and because it is art
