Does anyone know what DC shoes (cup soles) are made of from an engineering perspective?

What is a sole made of? What SPECIFIC TYPE of rubber is it made of? This is for an engineering assignment.
Thanks so much ! That's awesome!

  • I don't about that specific shoe, but most tennis shoes soles are made of some mixture of materials like polyurethane, rubber. TRP which is a mixture of polyurethane and rubber, plastics like PVC, etc.

    • It looks like various parts of the shoe sole are made from butyl rubber, gum rubber, and carbon rubber of different hardness for varying impact resistance and support at different locations on the base of the foot.
