Why did he say that he likes that I'm always cautious about saying or doing anything too much?

He's been pursuing me and being very flirty and when I said let's just see what feels natural with no pressure for either of us after flirting he said the above... What did he mean by that? I thought it may annoy him tbh. He's also a very good looking guy so although he'd disagree Im sure he has plenty of women who'd be interested in him.

Hard to know if he’s been cheated on but those comments seem to mean he’s said something to a girlfriend before that he shouldn’t have or did something something to one and he’s learned to say and do little early on with a girlfriend that could ruin the relationship.
