Love the way you are! Be OK with being a nerd and being a girl! It's actually a LOT of fun!

Also, try to find a guy who has the same nerdiness that you do.

Find a con of some sort! Conventions are the best place to meet people of a similar interest. Plus, girls at cons are pretty much worshipped. <3 Lots of fun!

If there are not cons near you, try to see if there is a club of some of those interests near you. Talk to the people at the comic stores, video game stores, and in schools. See if there are any places for people of similar interests already together.

If there aren't, talk with the people in the stores/schools about starting your own club.

That will help with the loneliness factor. I don't guarantee a date, but you will be happier.

And if you're just yourself, and are comfortable with yourself those wonderful nerdy guys will be draw to you like a moth to a flame.

First of all, you shouldn't try to change who you are. There's nothing wrong with changing your approach, but that doesn't mean you have to change who you are. Second, there's a big difference between being alone and being lonely; it is possible to still be lonely even if you're in a relationship.

The bottom line is that guys look for women who look and act like women. They don't want to be with "one of the guys." If you act interested in a guy when you're attracted to him, and if you have a sweet and charming demeanor, you'll have guys talking to you in no time. You probably want to save the Star Trek and Harry Potter talk until you're at least a few dates in with a guy, though.
