a compliment and a hello is fine to me , I remember once this guy came up to me and said I remind him of bubblegum because I was wearing a bright pink shirt and he sort of creeped me out ...like (bad compliment) and then tried to continue talking to me , or ask a question or something like , if she's wearing cool headphones ask like " nice headphones, whered you get it"? something like that

an easy way is to talk about your surroundings and bring that up.

if you're in class, talk about the material

if you're at a party, ask her how she knows the host/hostess

if you're at the mall, ask her opinion about a shirt

  It IS easy! Start with the basics...if you know her say "Hey *name*, hows it going?" Then she'll reply "Good hbu?" and you'll reply. Then ask her about school, sports, hobbies...in my case weights...lol I dunno, small stuff. Family, favorite activities, favorite sports, favorite movie, actor, music, ect.

  It gets easier with practice. If you're really that uncomfortable talking to a girl, then try to corner one alone so that it's just the two of you without any audiences. For example, go to class a bit earlier or stay a little bit later and catch the first or last person there. Ask her about the assignment or comment how awesome/boring the lecture was. Ask her how she did on the last exam.

you can start with an important question like in school something class related or about the homework or professor, you can also ask for directions somewhere, and then compliment her smile and start a conversation
