and if you answer yes to this question, please give me a reason why. reason I'm asking it is because this girl I like obviously likes me back (flirting, friends say so, etc). but thing is, she acts all interested and all for a while, then she acts all distant and cold towards me after that. then turns it back around and it repeats... it's a never ending, confusing cycle lol. this has been going on for a good month or so...

If I have a crush on a guy, he won't need to chase me. That makes absolutely no sense, and it's stupid. Don't waste your time on a girl who feels like she has to make you prove your interest somehow. It's immature and unfair to you if you like her as well.

  my cousin told me that they do it to gauge how much interest you have in them so that you aren't in it just for the sex. what do you think about that?

  I can understand that, but a month is a long time. I feel like, generally, guys who are only interested in sex won't wait that long. She also has to have some sort of judgement in terms of your behavior . It's not that hard to tell when a guy is genuinely interested and when he's just after sex. If she can't tell that you are interested and continues playing games, then don't waste your time on her.

It's because a girl will like a guy but then not want to seem desperate or...well, I guess "fast" is the word we used to use, though I haven't heard that in a while, lol. She lets you know she's interested, then steps back and leaves it to you to make the next move.
