Do girls ever make the first move?

Be super confident, because you have to realize that 1. we're all humans, 2. there is nothing big to lose.

It's odd. I've been approached a number of times, but I haven't liked any guy THAT much. But with my boyfriend, it's a nice, different story. Back in high school, (we were NOT the coolest, most handsome, most popular pair around) I met him at a party, and since I had been eying him before, I decided (with the aid of a couple of drinks) that I'd go talk to him because that guy seemed so mysterious and interesting. He was the opposite of the jock type, wearing dark clothes, long hair, laid back type. I was a nerd, no style, introverted type. And style, I decided that I'd go talk to him. It was probably the alcohol that made me social or something, but I just sat there and said "hey, how are you?" and that was it. He seemed easy going and okay with my presence, even if his answers were not lenghty. So I continued talking, being unusuall confident. At some point later in tiem we exchanged emails and started talking on MSN. Connact was broken soon after (I still don't know why).

Seven years later I found him on Facebook. I was like "should I add him?" and given that I had nothing big to lose, I added him. So this was the second time I went after him. Didn't know if he was going to remember me or not, but he accepted my request and started talking. He was very straightforward and asked me out to catch up, no hesitations on his side. One week later we went out and we have been dating for 7 months now, officially a couple for 5. And it all started because there was no doubting or hesitation when approaching. So be confident, no matter if you have muscles or not!

I recommend you keep approaching women. She may have been able to feel your lack in conifidence, which in turn would make her more uncomfortable. Or, she really just didn't want to talk to you, and in that case, why would you want to talk to someone who doesn't want to talk to you? Just try to be confident, it's the confident and persistent guy that gets the conversation, the dance, the date, the girl . . . Some women will approach men but most prefer the man to initiate. This is because that is traditionally the role play between men and women, and women are fearful that if they make the first move, they will come off as pushy or desperate.

Sometimes, actually come to think of it, every time I have made the first move it always ended in a relationship. And if your picture is really you then you have nothing to worry about. But yes usually girls will wait for the guy to come on to them. And maybe she was giving you short anwsers because of the type of questions you were asking her. Never ask questions that will anwser in yes or no. And girls love talking about themselves. And I've been with many scrawny guys, muscles aren't everything.

Sometimes. It depends... I mean, I'm not one of those girls to make the first move because I just feel that if they guy likes me like he says he does then he should be able to just come up and talk to me. It can actually tell you a lot about the girl, I believe

Yes, I do all the time. The worst that happens is the guy doesn't feel the same and we move on to the next. Don't beat yourself up over it. You'll find the one that actually feels the same and all of those other girls won't even matter.
