Does trying hard for the girl you like really work?

Well what guys tend to not do -

Is make sure the girl likes you back in the same degree.

For some reason, guys translate a maybe for hell yea she wants meh :D when in reality, that's not so.

If a girl who's actually worth the effort and likes you mutually is there, then you wouldn't have to work extremely hard anyway, because she'd be making efforts to get you as well.

Society teaches that guys have to do everything in the courting process - but that's far from the truth. The reason men get so frustrated / annoyed / angry at the whole thing, is because women have been taught not to do anything. But realisticly, women should be sending clear signs to show their interest, so the guy isn't throwing himself out there for no clear goal / reason.

A lot of guys speak about chasing with no reward at the end - and I say it's because of that very reason.

Well I believe if you're always there for a girl she will notice your dedication. Don't be overbearing though just always be that guy who will always be for her and she will definitely take notice someday. It's hard to deny dedication of that magnitude.

I hate to use a book to compare to but in Twilight the wolves would imprint on a girl and be dedicated to her forever. It was brought up that the girl has her own choice but it's very hard to deny someone who is always loving and dedicated to you.
