Its might just his way of being friendly, but if you are friends and you get on well then he is probably interested in you. Even if he is happy being friends I'm sure he would enjoy going out more. There is a girl I like, and me and her something similar (she always wins arguments though) but I'm not sure if she likes me the way I like her so I've never asked her out. Maybe he feels similar to me and he just wants to be sure before he asks you out (although if he is anything like me then that could take a long time).

Its difficult for guys because if we ask a girl out and they say no they it makes us less sure about if the girl(s) we like like us back in the same way, its easier in some ways for a girl because they can drop quite general hints into the conversation about wanting to see a movie but not having anybody to go with, or even just asking the boy what he would do if he knew a girl who obviously liked him and would like to go out with him?
