My close friend looks at me but doesn't speak. All this MONTHS after he kissed me when drunk. WTF?

I am really close friends with this guy... he's really sweet and nice and sometimes I feel like he really cares about me.

A few months ago he got extremely drunk.. To the point of passing out.. but just a few minutes before passing out he kissed me a few times on the cheek and once on the lips. I asked him " Are you drunk? " He replied saying " No I am fine " . But he passed out. So he obviously WAS drunk.

He didn't remember about the kiss the next day.

When he heard bout it he felt quite guilty. A few days later I told him we need to tok bout some stuff, so lets meet.

He pretty much tried to avoid meeting and when I got pissed.. He sed he's avoiding the meeting Because he's worried it will open a " can of worms " our friendship will never recover from.

A month later I realized I had feelings for him and told him via sms.

When he didn't reply I sent him another text asking if he received the message at all. He replied after 9 hours saying " I got it don't worry ". But he acted like a normal friend soon after.

I didn't think much of it. Till the other day...

I met him after almost 2 months.

He didn't talk much with me but kept looking at me without a sign of recognition on his face.

Hes not upset and I m sure of that Because we have messaging and talking on the phone as usual.

Normally looking at someone so much is a sign you like them.. But this guy.. I just can't figure him out.

Is he confused? Or does he like me and he doesn't know it? Or am I just thinking too much of this?

Oh and BTW he isn't awkward either. He has totally forgotten about the incident. Something I m sure about since he talks about that particular night ( not about the kiss ofcourse) freely around me as well ... it makes ME uncomfortable.. But not him :/

I think he isn't confuse. You told him bluntley how you felt and he tried to avoid the subject and confrontation about the issue. You sent him an sms telling him that you had feelings. It either was a yes or no answer if he felt the same. I think he was falling for you and he didn't want to admit it to you. I think he doesn't wnat to jepordize what you and him have and he doesn't want the friendship to change. If things go bad if you and him go out. The friendship changes forever. I think a part of him is trying to hide his feelings from you. He doesn't want you to read him to see if he lieks you or not. I think secretly he does but he will not admit it to you.

Yeah I was surprised when I told him tht I liked him he didn't tell me nething like " We are still gonna be great frends or something " it was like he didn't wanna talk bout it.

I asked him " Did you even take me seriously " after a few days ... he sed " yeah .. its understood that our frendship will stay this way :) . Look we have already given each other enough opportunities to be awkward. Lets not give ourselves one more " So I never spoke bout it agen. But it was so weird when he met me :/

I agree he could had at least said something when you ask him the question. He probably didn't want to talk about it. I could imagine how awkward it must had been when you met him. And it's good that you and him are still friends. I also think that is good that you told him how you felt. I wish he would had bene more honest with you. Even if he liked you a little. He still could had told you. I think when he kissed you that was part of him showing that he liked you.

Well the weirdest thing is in the 2 and a half years of us being friends.. he has rarely ever called or texted. But in the few months b4 the kiss he was calling! And now he's back to being who he was ages ago. Honestly I have no reason to think he likes me except the way he looked at me a few days ago. But I can't be so wrong! I could see it in his eyes.. he was looking at me and not smiling/talking. I feel like he realized all over again that day and so he decided to stay away :|

And this isn't good for our friendship. At times I feel like he cares about me so much. He doesn't like me talking about my ex. He hates it when I cry. But he never bothers to stay in touch . He looked at me but didn't speak. He is only confusing me. And I hate to think I can't even tell him a word about this because I m tired of pulling him up about how he's being awkward with me. Its been too long. :(

Wow. That really sucks that he is going back to his old ways. :( He has given you a lot of mixed signals. I agree you can't really tell him how awkward he has been acting because he seems to be stuck in his ways and if he rarely texted and called you for almost threes years then it seems that he will distant himself again. I agree it is not good fo your friendship.I think even if he texts you once in a while to see how you is doing that is good. I think most guys don't like hearing about an ex.

I think when you talked about your ex that is made him very jealous. Some guys get jealous. That sucks that he doesn't like to stay in touch. I think this will hurt the friendship more. Maybe he has been hurt before in a relationship. I think he does this as defense mechanism so that wya he doesn't get hurt or get his feelings hurt. I think he is hurting your feelings because when he is acting cold and distant. It makes him hard to read and to see if he really cares about anything you tell him.
