Girls, how would you prefer a guy to approach you in public?

I like it when they just come up and say hi, or maybe comment on something we have in common like music or clothing. I'm kind of an awkward conversation starter, so it's great when a guy starts talking about something interesting right away (ie not the weather:) Interesting convos almost always lead to number exchanges ;) also, I have this weird thing for guys who shake my hand when they meet me; it shows they're confident and interested in getting to know me, instead of standing at a distance.

Just be casual, go up and say hi. If its someone you know and you just happen to run into them in public then you can ask them what theyre doing here and just try to let the conversation flow. Most girls are probably shy about asking for a number so you should just ask. if you want to lead up to it try to steer the conversation towards her phone or something then "oh you should give me your number" or just ask her for her number so you guys can talk again sometime.
