Has anyone had a crush on someone for a few years?

I had a crush on a guy for 6 years and he is still my crush. He is married now to someone else. I am married now to someone else too. I just wasn't ready to get into a relationship when we were young. When we got older I called him and confessed my undying love to him and he told me that he only liked me as a friend. Then I started dating after that. I still like him. :) But I love my husband because I'm married to him now.
