2) No salt or salty foods: I'm fairly certain you can die from this. Not having any sugar might make you want to die, but not having sodium actually can be deadly. (Let's pretend it's not.) No salt on the rim margaritas, no chips and salsa, no beef jerky, no soy sauce for your rice or baked potatoes, no salted butter, no potato chips, no salty mac & cheese, no french fries.

I gave up all sweets 6months ago.
Just one pice 99% chocolate a day because it's actually healty, but it's definitly nowhere near sweet.
But I didn't cut on fruits, and they are sweet to :-)
Lost 30kg in the last 6months, thats my motivation, if someone asks

I could live without the options in salt and sugar that are chosen above... you did not say natural sugars like honey, maple syrup, xylitol, etc. I don't need salt for French fries or potatoes... Sweet potatoes are yummy plain and bbq's White potatoes are delicious
