I'm having some now, fried okra in olive oil, with red pepper, turmeric powder, onions and tomato. It tastes incredibly good.

okra is a staple food in the south/Midwest... love it. though I have yet to find anyone who makes fried okra as good as my grandma did when I was younger...

Yes I have :) I usually have it in fish soup. But put it near the end of the cooking process. It makes the broth all sticky and thick if left in the pot for too long.
