Does eating fruits make you feel full?

I was hungry and decided to eat some mango instead of something heavy or fried food. But it doesn't make me feel full. I drank water and now I can't stop going to the bathroom.

I have noticed fruits just dont don't make me feel full at all. What about you?

  • An apple, banana, juice, water should do the trick :)

    It's like anything... you need to get used to eating it.

  • No. Bananas can a bit though, more than other fruit anyway. Well, not full, but at least like you've eaten something. To me, fruit is just a thing to eat when you feel like eating, not to actually make you feel like you've had a meal.

  • They do for everyone. The difference is, as you said, they are less heavy and hence have less calories/KJ of energy. So you'll need to eat more fruit to have a similar affect to other food types

  • That's what sucks. I'm trying to eat healthier but carbs fill me the most! Fruit is like water to me. I want to start drinking more water so I am less hungry.

  • No. I think it's because fruits are sweet, so they make me feel more hungry.
    So, I prefer to eat something salty, when I don't have time or when I can't eat properly.
