Anyone try Induction cooking?

Induction cooking reduces cooking time. I can cook hamburger meat in 5 to 7 minutes. Since it uses magnets to heat up food it faster than gas or electric cooking. This saves me a lot of time. If the bottom of the cookware sticks to a magnetic it will work with induction cooker.
Caster iron and stainless steal bottom cookware works with induction cooker.

  • Yeah, I'm a huge believer in the induction cooktop as it's absolutely the most efficient type of heat transfer device on the planet. On top of that, electricity is more efficient than gas so while gas is considered the fancier, more professional solution, induction is clearly the future.

That said, I admit that I have a gas range. I have sort of a fancy kitchen and needed a 36" range. At the time I bought my range, they didn't sell 36" induction ranges because induction is not part of the high-end lines. I think Wolf has one now, but in general if you want a really nice range, you have to get gas.
