Addiction or just necessary to consume?

I don't eat meat I eat mostly fruits, vegetables and carbs with some dairy but I eat whole wheat which has some protein and a little healthy fats in things like farmers bread or bread with oats but I have a weird obsession with peanut butter now is this because my body is craving protein and fat or is it just a weird unhealthy addiction
