Personally I only know how to cook scrambled, so I ate that most of my life. Now I can boil them too, but to avoid them breaking I usually leave the water too cold and end up with soft boiled over a longer period of time.
My brother hated eggs for years, and like you he hated under or overdone especially. Our dad eventually made him try an egg by shoving half a scrambled one in his mouth and saying he couldn't eat anything else until he swallowed it. Luckily he was the one that liked condiments on anything, so he was able to get it down by eating ketchup as well. He actually likes eggs with ketchup now, so you might try that if you want. It could help.

I usually eat them scrambled, hard. Sometimes I'll fry them over-hard and put them on toast. Hard boiled eggs are good too, but I only eat the whites.
Pretty much the only time I like a runny yolk is when I'm having an eggs Benedict (the hollandaise can cover up the yolk taste I don't like much).
