I'm more of a fan of savory pies, like chicken pot pie:
And Shepherd's pie:
I just eat them alone for the most part without any sides. I think of them as a complete meal on their own.
That said, I never had much of a sweet tooth but if there's one dessert I genuinely like and want if they serve it, it's like a country-style American apple pie:
If a restaurant has those, I could eat whatever and still want that as a dessert if I'm not too full.

Try cooking your pot pies in a smoker if you have one. It does wonders for the taste of the crust.
