because they watch too much home order television... i personally am very puristic when it comes to it. i try my best not to have tools that can do similar jobs. i only use a knife, a can opener and a peeler in the kitchen. the only electric food processing appliances that doesn't serve heating or cooling i have is a mixer (cause some things you litterally kan't mix as well by hand) and a blender, cause let's face it, you can't make smoothies or pestos with a knife.most of those idiotic gadgets only save time during preparation but waste the time during cleaning (as they're a hassle to clean up). plus they waste space. i don't want my kitchen to be cluttered in gadgets and devices.
I'll I need is a chefs knife a pairing knife and a cast iron skillet. And a frying pan and a non stick pan.
We think we will get to use it plenty
thanks for mho
They're so addicting!
I can understand some of why people would buy odd shopping gadgets. If you had a passion for baking, and liked to do baking every weekend, then I think it would be justifiable to have some cake modelling and icing tools. But yeah there are some food gadgets out there that make no sense. I remember seeing this add on tv once about a machine that seals up meat and food and preserves them and it just seemed so useless because who's gonna want to seal up some raw meat and plan on eating it 1 or 2 months later? not to mention all the plastic trash your gonna be guilty of wasting. I think its kinda like when you go to Walmart and only want to buy a few things, but you see a bunch of other snacks that you could picture yourself needing or using in the future.
Food gadgets are advertised as a solution for your problems (in the kitchen) and make people believe that they make your life easier. They are always displayed by people who are made to look helplessly incapable to do anything without it and then have a big fake smile plastered on their face when they use the gadget. Some of them need more time to do the same thing you can do with your own hands, but people don't realise this until after they buy it.Not to mention that the quality of the advertised item has nothing to do with the one you buy. And people who keep ordering them probably don't learn from past mistakes.
My aunt is like that. She always buys the latest gadgets , but either never uses them, or uses them one time , and then after that they never see daylight again hahaSome people are easily taken in by sales pitches and can't resist the urge go buy it lol
My distant family had this problem, they bought things they saw in telemarketing, most of which were then left forgotten in the basement, without their packages ever being opened.I think it is mostly just the combination of compulsive shopping and insidious marketing practices.Personally, the only gadget I have is an egg slicer. And I also have a kind of needlessly overpriced kettle, which I bought out of spite.
Home order television.I can't get talked into anything but those ads can suck even the smartest people in.Then you get it and it takes up all of the room in your kitchen till all you want to do is find a fork to eat and are pissed you bought all of this useless sh*t🙈😂
I have a panini grill. Some will call it a fad, but it is used often.
They assume it will make the cooking process and prepping process easier
I do because I think I’ll use them a lot. I usually end up barely using them at all.
Some of it is pretty useful ngl
Well some of it can be useful.
