A pound of beef takes around 1800 gallons of water to produce, comparatively, a pound of chicken takes around 470 gallons to produce, and soybeans take about 220 gallons of water a pound. If conservation of clean water is important to you, I'd suggest you cut down on your meat intake a little. Eating too much meat isn't good for people anyway, about 4 oz. a day is enough for the average person.
Nope. Thanks for your concern.
That is your decision, but I really would recommend cutting down your daily meat consumption to at most 5 or 6 ounces. It may taste good, but it isn't good for you or the environment.
