I guess that's a no...
I put yes. Thinking critically. 3 hrs isn't that long. Was it still cool or was it warm? If it was still cool id drink it. 3 hrs doesn't seem that bad of a time.
It still felt cool to the touch. But it had been sitting at room temperature the whole time.
Yeah i think its fine. See it depends how cold your home is. I have the air conditioner on at 65°F so you can imagine the milk won't heat up as fast as say 75°F or 90°F. I would question it at a warm touch where bacteria finds it much better environment. So you are ok if you drink it. You could also just put it back in the fridge at that point. I like to put it close to the back where it is colder it keeps longer.
Keeping things in the back of the refrigerator to keep them colder is a really good tip. That's a good idea in general, not only for this situation.
That was my plan, to go by smell. I'm still kinda worried about bacteria though.
Yeah @Flower7 that is what I would do, I know we keep our half n half out and it never goes sour I have drunk outdated ( expired milk ) never tastes bad and doesn't sour... Also be careful buying milk from them Dollar Stores I've had milk that didn't last with them.

It's been in the refrigerator for 2 days now. I'm running out of my other container of milk so I'm debating whether to drink the one that had been left out or to just throw it away.
I mean after it's been refrigerated.
