Because of all the hype that Starbucks received, I decided to try a coffee of theirs, a frappuccino. In the past, I've purchased frappes from McDonald's and they're always so delicious, but when I bought one from a Starbucks restaurant, it wasn't all that great. It didn't have much sweetness, plus it carried that strong coffee flavor which I hate and is the reason why I purposely order frappes because they're basically milkshakes! But this one did not taste that way. So, I'm gonna have to stick with McDonald's from now on...
Starbucks vs Mcdonald's coffee: which do you prefer?

Starbucks espresso is much better than McDonald's. If you are going to load your coffee up with sugar like the drinks pictured then it probably doesn't matter.
I think they both suck. They are shit tier coffee. It amazes me how terrible peoples taste is in coffee. You can go buy Cafe Bustelo or Cafe du Monde at fucking walmart and get a better brew than that McDonalds or Starbucks shit. You want real coffe? Roast your own beans or find a place that roasts them and makes a brew with said beans within a week long time frame. Anything more than a week and the coffee looses a large portion of it's natural flavors and aromas. Just think of how long pre-roasted coffee sits on the shelf in a warehouse before being shipped to a place only to sit on another shelf until the other bags that have been sitting on the shelf are used to get to the one bag waiting to be used while sitting on the shelf. All that being said, I think Starbucks is better than McDonalds.
I've never found Starbucks all that enjoyable, and frankly McDonald's coffee isn't that bad.
Of course, McDonald's coffee was better when they used Newman's Own brand. That changed when they expanded the McCafe lineup to be more inclusive of people that don't want their coffee to taste like coffee.
People/teens never really get the Coffee at Starbucks. It’s mostly the different flavors of frappuccino and teas that get the hype. But yeah, McDonald’s and Dunkin’ Donuts coffee are pretty sweet and good.
Both are good but neither would sway me one way or the other. I do tend to get more McDonald's coffee though lately as the nearest Starbucks in my new place is a bit further away than my previous home.
I am not much for American coffee, compared to European coffee it's not that great. As a friend said Tim Hortons is like water.
But I rarely drink Starbucks. Every time I get one they screw it up somehow. The last time I had something (one of their pumpkin spiced lattes) almost threw up about 1/2 hour later it was that badly made.
McDonalds ranks in among Tim Hortons. Passable if desperate but I'm usually not that desperate.

Just the regular brewed coffee at McDonald's is very good in my opinion. The best of the fast food coffees. I don't think I've ever had the specialty drink coffees at McDonald's though.
Mcdonalds in the uk, the coffee always tastes burnt. Usually a sign they don't clean their machine properly.

Starbucks is known for their coffee, I think all of their drinks have a strong coffee taste. That being said, I've never had a McDonald's anything. I enjoy the coffee taste

I might never had tried a McDonald's coffee xD maybe just a regular black filter coffee.. so I would've to go for Starbucks. But I do not think your complains are that valid.. you can always add more sugar yourself.. that would probably also help on the too much coffee taste.. which is a funny complain.. if you want a more milkshaky taste just order a milkshake. Or a frappe without coffee..
Starbucks failed miserably here and we were the birth place of McCafe which is going strong.
I know which of choose.

When you get a good cup from McDonalds, I’d say it’s actually better than Starbucks...

I'm living in Germany and we don't have a Starbucks in my area. The closest one is about 100-150km away. Therefore I've never tried a Starbucks coffee. McDonald's coffee is fine but I do prefer coffee from our local cafés and bakeries.

When McD's had Newman's coffee, it was better AND cheaper. Now it's just cheaper. Starbucks regular coffee is NOT worth $2 a cup. No fucking way.

MsDonald's coffee is not that bad - black and some sugar. I prefer it to that overpriced , sugar laden "coffee" sold at Starbucks.
If you absolutely do not like the taste of coffee you should not go to Starbucks. It like going to pizza hut and not liking pizza or cheese.

I have a very sensitive stomach. Most coffee upsets it but I found that Starbucks doesn’t so I usually go with Starbucks even though McDonald’s has good coffee too.
Whoever wins email me the buzzfeed article. Or whatever bullshit comes of this. People this a corporate advisement. It's fucking coffee. Drink it black.
