I don't think I've ever knowingly bought anything that'd gone bad, but it's important to remember that a listed expiration date is just the point at which freshness is no longer guaranteed. It doesn't automatically mean it's gone bad. Obviously some things are safer than others, but a LOT of food that's still good gets thrown away.
At a discount lol. The Expiration/Best By dates aren’t hard and fast. It isn’t good one day and bad the next. That’s the day the pie crust will no longer be at peak crispiness. It’s the day the canned green beans start to lose texture. It’s the day the bread becomes stale. NOT INEDIBLE, NOT DANGEROUS, just not at its best.
I don't buy it but i have eaten expired stuff if it's just some days over the expiry date

I buy reduced items that I wouldn't usually buy, and I eat things beyond their best before or sell by dates, but not too long past. I won't throw away good food, just because of a date on the label.
