What would you do if a girl goes dutch, but doesn't tip?

I mean, tipping is not a necessity, it is just a choice the customer can make so I would not expect someone to do it.

Some people are not in a financial situation where they can tip and some also decide whether it is worth tipping based on the fact they believe they are just paying for the fixed price of what they bought so why pay extra.

Also, tipping in England doesn't seem to be a very popular thing... people just pay the fixed amount that the cost of what they bought was, in shops I think it is also because they don't want to hold up the line and with restaurants I think it is because they are already expensive enough that people don't want to add more to their bill. You might sometimes get a person give a tip in a Cafe because they are reasonably priced and you can ask to give a specific waiter a tip if that is the waiter that served you the most, but it is not the most common of things.

If she didn't tip because she felt the service was lousy, that's one thing, but if she didn't tip and the service was adequate at least, that would be a turnoff because I would consider it a character flaw.

I wouldn't say it's a turn off, but I'd want to understand why she didn't.

I personally don't like the concept of tipping and would prefer that restaurants pay their employees a decent wage and that there be no tipping expected for someone just doing their job, but that's not how the world is and servers are dependent on the tips, so I do leave decent tips even though I don't like the whole idea.

If someone I went on a date with didn't tip, I'd want to explore the reasons. If she just didn't understand that servers rely on tips because restaurants pay them almost nothing and so I could educate her about that, it wouldn't really be a problem for me. I'd want to be sure though that it isn't an indication that she doesn't care about or have any respect for other people because that certainly would be a big concern.

Tipping is something I generally hold back on unless I'm extremely happy with the service I recieved. Being from the UK Tipping isn't something that is a cultural norm. Rather than a reward for good service. So. It wouldn't put me up nor down. If she didn't feel like she needed to tip then so be it.

Could just be uneducated about service... kind of a turn off though. If it happens repetitively, I would confront her about it. even if the service wasn't good, I have tipped 5% low, 30% high. (note: I don't buy things too expensive at restaurants, that's why I tip 30%)

Eh I' wouldn't care tbh. She paid her end of the meal its not my issue if she don't tip I don't know her finacial situation. Tips are generosity never garenteed. Be happy ya got anything at all. It takes a certain special mindset to tip.

Besides, tipping literally gets the customer to pay the waiter's wage for the company. Something that I'm unwilling to do if I'm honest

No, I would assume she wasn't satisfied with their service.
In Europe you tip for outstanding service, otherwise you don't. Are you tipping in US if the waiter tosses dishes in front of you like you were a dog?

What makes this unique is that she paid for her own meal! That's so damned rare that I would have picked up the tip for her so the wait person didn't get stiffed. Most women would let cobwebs grow before they would go dutch (They will claim otherwise but experience tells you something else).

I'd make up the difference if the service warranted it. That wouldn't happen to me though, because I don't do dutch, and that's only a small reason why.

In my place, tipping isn't a big thing, very rarely do I see people doing it here. So I wouldn't mind.

I would tip for her as well. It wouldn't be a deal breaker but I would definitely keep my eye on her to make sure she doesn't have other undesirable traits

Yes, it would bother me. I would have circled back around after she left and tipped the waiter/waitress appropriately. I'm a very good tipper and have been known to go back if I realize I undertipped
