Yes try some speyside scotch whiskeys like Balvenie 12 or Macallan 12 triple wood. They don't taste like alcohol (ethanol) at all. They taste like candy. Balvenie tastes like an apricot candy and Macallan (triple wood) tastes like some Christmas chocolate box with some nut, oak and butter. Of course there is the slight burn of 40% alcohol, but it doesn't taste like anything and it's really enjoyable warmth in your mouth / throat. I can't speak for cognac yet and as far as I know the ones I've tasted, tasted really bad. You just have to find high quality and something you like and you'll genuinely enjoy it.
@Soremain Sweet scotch? I can hardly believe it, haha. I’ve mostly dealt with Islay distilleries’ offerings though
Heh yeah I like Ardbeg too, but speyside's offering is very sweet and pleasant.
@Soremain I’ll check it out sometime, thanks for the recommendation, bro👊
It's a liquor distilled from brandy.
ohhh i am naive, i’ve never tried it 🤔

Just start with the basic main ones - Hennessy, remy Martin, courvoisier. Based on what you said maybe try the Vsop to start
